From The Outside Looking In

Well Ebony Traffic this one is going to be a little different
from my normal journal entry because this isn’t really
an entry or anything that tells about my progression in the
industry but a simple observation. Now I in no way want to
come off looking like I am a know it all or a smart ass or
anything like that because I’m on the outside looking
in and just telling folks exactly what I see about the industry,
mainly dealing with the ebony niche. Hopefully everyone who
reads this article that I’m writing will enjoy it.
From the outside looking in I see nothing but potential for
the ebony niche. The ebony niche is currently ranked 8th on
The Statistician
so it really shouldn’t be considered a small niche because
it is so concentrated. What I mean by concentrated is this,
hardcore, anal, soft-core, gay ebony and everything else under
the sun goes under the category (including interracial for
some reason). Most TGP’s don’t offer categories
“ebony hardcore” for example, unless of course they
are ebony related TGP’s. None of the ebony related TGP’s
are currently pushing traffic like thehun, world sex and on
and on. The fact that thehun is pushing 1 million visitors
a day (according to sex tracker), while the largest ebony
related TGP is only pushing 30 thousand visitors a day can
be looked at as good and bad, just depending on how you look
at it.
I will start with the bad first. No one fully exploited the
ebony niche. That’s it. That is the only bad thing that
I can say (besides people having to go to other places to
submit their ebony galleries and sites). That one bad thing
is great for the major players in the industry (or someone
with enough motivation to corner an untapped resource) because
basically it is an untapped resource that hasn’t been
over exposed like the majority of the other niches out there.
Of course it would be a lot of hard work and probably use
up whoever’s biggest asset (time) but to have an entire
niche locked down, that’s priceless (well not really
but it would be one hell of an income). The ability to make
the rules up and set the standards for the ebony niche would
be in whomever’s hands and they could basically do what
they wanted to with it as long as it kept returning a profit.
Now let me give you all an example of what I am trying to
say, keep in mind that the only thing that I can show of an
example is submission based (considering that’s what
I’m learning now). When I say corner the ebony niche
I mean this, lets say Mr./Mrs. X was able to get 500k a day
to a ebony related TGP, nothing but. This would basically
run the ebony niche because you have your target audience
of 500k visitors a day coming to see nothing but ebony related
categories, he or she could clean up on selling spots alone.
Of course if they’re pushing that type of traffic they
could have their pay sites being developed and not to mention
have other pay sites wanting to advertise on the site, further
putting their foot deeper and deeper into the ebony niche.
No need to really submit to other sites, seeing as how other
ebony related sites would probably be trying to trade with
you which is another added bonus because you don’t have
to go searching for more traffic, it comes goes them. Remember
this is just an example of a foothold in the industry (something
that I have been thinking about for awhile and can’t
figure out why it hasn’t happened yet).
Apparently what I’m thinking of in my head is a hell
of a lot easier said than done because no one has done it
yet. I’m pretty sure that the major players in the industry
are moving towards basically raping an unsuspecting victim,
which is good as long as it’s not some big company with
gob’s of money. This would be the worst case scenario
because if a big company gets a hold of this industry it’s
over. Think you’ve seen enough of that ugly bitch India
now? Let one of these major sponsors actually start giving
a shit about the ebony niche and she will be the fucking poster
child for black porn, and she sure as hell shouldn’t
be a poster child for shit (if you can’t tell I really
don’t think she’s attractive, especially when she
tries to rap during porn…bitch just do your job and put
the dick in your mouth).
Well this has been my thirty minute break, I’ve got
to get back to patch working my damn submission system and
think about upgrading my hosting (I ate my bandwidth up with
only three submissions, I see why hosts charge those overages
fee’s). I’ve got a lot of work to do myself just
so I can consider myself a webmaster (I won’t consider
myself a webmaster until I am pushing at LEAST 10 sales a
day) and I want to go to Internext next year and I hear they
only allow webmasters. Any how this is just a newbie’s
point of view on one way to corner and untapped resource,
I hope no one thinks that I’m a smart ass or that I rub
anybody the wrong way. Just my thoughts and observations folks,
nothing more and nothing less.
