Interview With PimpSticky AKA KillaPimpen

I had the privilege of interviewing a mysterious and laid
back kind of brother who's got a flair for setting trends
and making the Adult Industry shiver. Wise and intelligent
not to be mistaken for nobody's fool, is an expert who has
sacrificed and fought for 8 years to stay on top. Let it be
known to all the haters that they cannot keep up with the
creativity and artistic perception of this Webmaster, that
this is his knowledge that breaks the silence.
being in the Adult industry for over
8 years now, what is it that seems to stimulate and challenge
you to excel at what you do?
It is not about it being stimulating or challenging as far
this industry goes (chuckles), because about 75 % of it is
really about the marketing and 25% content. There is a lot
bullshit content out there, but basically as long as you know
how to market, you can sell anything. Of course, using the
right people with the skills to attract the customers and
provide what consumers are looking for makes a great difference.
For me it is about trend making, devising new and fresh ways
to promote product and be the first to set it off. Staying
ahead of everyone, researching the latest technology of the
business, and keep on learning to sharpen up my skills.
What kind of characteristics would you look for in a potential
Webmaster?
Hmmm…a team player, an individual who can support the
over all company and its focus; Wisdom to make good decisions
with a business mind to realize about how to make the money.
Self motivated and disciplined, someone who will invest the
time into what makes it all worth it.
Why a team player?
The same as with any business, the effort it takes to make
it successful and prosperous is difficult to do alone. The
support to circulate ideas, having the foundation and strength
can determine what makes the money grow.

What does it take to be a prosperous Webmaster?
A true Webmaster has to have skills or at least learn what
you need to stay online and make it profitable. The very least,
are the abilities to program, design websites, and create
graphics and image designs.
I hear all the time that the money in the adult industry
is lucrative, what do you think?
(Silence as a smile slowly gives way to the truth) It can
be if the individual knows the business and can be taken under
a knowledgeable Webmaster's wing.
It can be discouraging to newcomers because it is a very competitive
trade and many do not know what they are doing to begin with.
Making websites is one thing but to truly understand the business,
you must learn how to program and design.
What do you recommend for new webmasters to improve their
sales and market?
Learn HTML first, this is the base of the Internet Reading
and the ability to decode the information is a must to understand
its errors in the design.
PHP to create dynamic websites that increases the flexibility
of Internet pages and can be combined with HTML.

CHATTING OR MESSAGING AND NOT TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS BY ACTUALLY
REACTING AND PUTTING SKILLS TO IMMEDIATE USE"
Photoshop is an excellent tool to create graphics, images,
logos, banners, etc. This is skill that the outcome of an
entire website can be very profitable or lose the interest
of a potential customer.
Dreamweaver a blessing for those not familiar with how to
write HTML by hand, can save time and money.
What is it that the new "webmasters" or newbies
seem to be doing that provides such difficulties to profit
in this industry?
Problems with new webmasters from what I understand, is probably
that 99 % of the time is spent on too much bullshitting online,
chatting or messaging and not taking care of business by actually
reacting and putting skills to immediate use. Researching
is great but it does no good if it is is not practiced through
trial and error.
Finding a good and resourceful mentor to take them under their
wings and show them the ropes of how everything works from
ground up. A true Webmaster will possess the marketing skills
and visions to make it all possible. What makes an individual
marketing strategy possible, attractive, and unique? What
is it that the customer wants and needs?
So what are your thoughts on EbonyTraffic?
There are few decent resources that provide the answers to
newcomers and lack the information on how to be a competent
Webmaster. The sites that are available now, don't really
say much except for the same repetitive bullshit that has
been out for the last 5 years. Ebony traffic is different
all together katdaddy basically took all his contacts and
built a community for them. The idea is for it to be a place
for webmasters in the ebony niche to share concepts. Most
sites are just ad traps with the same links to the same generic
bullshit.
