Niches Are Like Breasts!
(Its Fun To Touch As Many As You Can)

Genre: Strategic Planning
For years now the seasoned and un-initiated adult webmaster
alike have pondered the importance of niche targeting their
sites. Some people say that the best way to approach things
is to have one site and multiple categories, while this works
for some its not the easiest strategy to start with.
The fact of the matter is that in this day and age it is
difficult to get any site off of the ground and making yours
generic isn't going to grant you any advantages. Likewise
neither is choosing an obscure niche that limits your ability
to network and develop traffic. Yet there is no golden ticket
to picking a niche that is right for you, if you want to take
the path of least resistance here are some key-points to keep
in mind.
1. Pick a niche you are at least comfortable looking at everyday,
it would be even better if you picked one you actually liked.
The key thing to keep in mind is that if you don't like the
site your building, nobody else will either.
2. Try to identify a segment of the market not over-saturated
with competition, or if possible select one with sub-standard
quality competition and attack from that angle. Assuming you
are able to generate quality work you will immediately stand
on the shoulders of the giants in that portion of the market.
3. Chose a niche that its easy to build contacts in, find
vocal members of that community and start building connections.
Key thing here is to remember to stay low key and humble,
this game is full of big ego's no need to rock any boats.
4. Build a little every day. Once your niche is defined and
you have the content you need build galleries, free sites,
and TGP's too! The more sites in the niche you build the greater
your circle of contacts will grow.
5. Be persistent and don't loose focus, if you did your homework
thoroughly you will get results but it will take some time
so be patient!
6. Beware of micro-niches unless you have the traffic already
to develop such sites.
While you are building your network you may at times loose
interest in the niche your developing. This is normal and
its not something you should let discourage you. As an online
marketer you must have a portfolio of products. When you reach
the point of dis-interest its time to start developing another
niche!
Your second niche should be one that is complimentary to
your first, this way you can use the inertia to propel your
new projects. Both logical and profitable the building block
approach actually works. Like all puzzles the pieces must
be assembled with care so as not to jar any of the other pieces.
A complimentary strategy to consider while your developing
a 2nd niche is to encourage contacts you made the first go
around to build in that niche with you. This way you both
can grow your traffic at the same time. In theory this means
you should both grow faster, in practice this is often a bit
tricky. It is however no secret that the people that grow
the biggest and the fastest have good connections so its worth
a try!
As long as you have good tactics in your arsenal this recipe
is a sure fire winner. Simply rinse, wash, and repeat. Soon
you will have a great adult entertainment portal and all of
the supporting sites needed to truly earn some nice profits.
